Disability Awareness Training
Bendrigg’s disability awareness training is designed to raise confidence among people to work with the disabled and thus bring about the inclusive activities. The Trust has delivered awareness training for years now. For small groups or individuals, you can sign up for the training at the cost of £75/person.
Climbing For All
Climbing for All training is specific to climbing activity. It involves adaptation and tactics built over the years to encourage and support inclusive climbing for disabilities. For a minimum of 5 in a group, you can register for this course at £60/person.
British Canoeing: Paddle- Ability Foundation Module
This is a three-hour training course in the classroom to introduce disability awareness in a paddle-sport setting. The course is targeted at volunteers and coaches who are just getting to familiarize themselves with disabled paddlers. The module covers some key subject areas and provides a discussion atmosphere to share experiences and thoughts with other attendees.
British Canoeing: Paddle-Ability Intermediate Module
This module is a practical course for a full day in the classroom. The module is designed to build on the foundation Module. It is targeted at coaches to develop coaching principles and knowledge on adaptive equipment.
This module provides the opportunity for delegates to share experiences and to discuss better communication methods and techniques to apply when working with different levels of disabilities. You can also have your hands on the adaptive equipment around. For £60/person, you can register and learn everything on this training.
Moving And Helping At Outdoor Environment
The purpose of the course is for the training of delegates in up-to-date and best practices. This is to render assistance when moving in an outdoor environment. For £99/person, the training can be access by a minimum of 5 in a group.
